We have been busy with little-and big-tasks here in Gainesville. We had a week or so of cool weather-perfect for blowing insullation into the attic! Thats when Wil got a chance to go up into the attic with Dad, Elsie mainly supervised! When it doesn't rain, we have been into the yard digging up thorny vines. We are trying to get the yard into a more playful environment for the kids. Elsie sleeps through a lot but Wil is our little shadow! He can't always understand the concept of work because all he wants to do is play! So we find new things for him like earthworms! The picture of Elsie in the swing is cute b/c I just got on to him for hitting her with a DVD case. So he gave her a toy baby bottle!

Gracie's 5th b-day and Great Grandpa Hoyts
We spent the weekend at Wes and Kasey's for Gracie's birthday party. We took a pit stop at Grandpa Hoyt's house and visited with Mom and Dad too. They were a lot of fun with the kids (like always!) and they treated us to Elsie's first taste of ice cream! The kids enjoyed jumping and we appreciated them winding them down! Gracey's party was held at a really cool park. I forgot the camera for the party so see Kasey's blog! We all had a good time, but I think Wil liked it best! He had fun on the cool playground with all of his cousins! Speaking of cousins-there sure are a lot of them now! That's all we could keep saying! The kids have definately outnumbered us now and we spent half of the time this weekend talking in baby language! Its like a big day care center when we all get together! On Sunday we stopped by Grandpa's again for lunch and saw both Grandpa and Uncle David. Mom and Dad stopped by our house Sunday night for dinner and a brief visit. They are living in Perry temporarily with Grandpa Hoyt so we anticipate seeing a little more of them!

Sarah's graduation
We took the kids to Thomasville Georgia to see their my cousin Sarah graduate from Brookwood. It was the first time we stayed at David and Mary's lovely house. They made us feel right at home. Mary and Sarah served up lunch, Mary took us on a tour of Thomasville and we watched Sarah receive her diploma! Mary cooked us breakfast in the morning and we watched a few old home videos of the kids! James and Sarah are 13 months apart so we can learn a lot from Aunt Mary and Uncle David! Congratulations Sarah!
Elsie at 6 weeks
We can't believe she is already 6 weeks old today! Here are a few close-ups of Elsie. She's been wearing Wil's hand-me-down pj's but she is almost big enough to fit into her own now! Its so fun to dress her up!

Joe is here!
Jenny's son Joe was born May 6th weighing in at 6lbs 8oz. Joe is the spitting image of Jenny with those beautiful blue eyes and blond hair! Elsie has waited so long to meet her new cousin and they had the best time sharing secrets! Jenny is so confident and comfortable in her new position as mother and she makes me remember how much fun a first time mother has! The whole clan came in to meet him and we had a great time on the farm! Cassie's bridal shower was fun and we all celebrated our mothers on Sunday in church! Happy Mothers Day to all mothers out there and especially Joe's mother, Jenny!
Wil's swim lesson and home with Elsie
To familiarize Wil with the pool, Jason enrolled Wil in a class at the YMCA. It started two days before Elsie was born and taught Wil beginning skills like getting in and out of the pool, kicking, going under, and generally becoming comfortable with an adult in the pool. We didn't make every class-Grandma Mona substituted a couple of times. But Wil's usual pool buddy was Daddy and this was good one on one time as he adjusted to a new sister. He does have fun with her-here are a few pictures of them having fun at home!
