After leaving Aunt Mary's,we had to get down the road to Freeport in time for Granny's 75th birthday celebration! We had the whole church serenade her including a few young songbirds! Dinner was delicious at Tina's barn and it was good to catch up with Jared who met little Elsie for the first time. The kids all enjoyed each other and we all ate Granny's doll baby cake! I love seeing all of Jason's family together! They keep me laughing and happy! Happy 75th Birthday, Granny!

Richard & Grandma's Birthday Bash
Nobody throws a party like a Kimble! And Grandma Jane and Richard's Birthday Party was no exception! Everyone pitched in in their own way and made this the most awesome Birthday Celebration! Homeade banner decorations, table setting and balloons (Wil's favorite!)Dad's wonderful "roast" of the birthday couple, yummy and beautiful cakes, plenty of good food, music, a present we all worked on, people coming in from the woodworks, and a few wild children-some on wheels! Grandma's funny banners talked about her computer interests and geneology and Richard's talked about his love of the outdoors and fishing! It was so good to see a lot of Richard's family and put names with faces! Singing together was my favorite event, but Dad's roasts were so funny! Wil and Elsie scored a bunch of balloons and Elsie talked to them all the way home. We all adjourned to Mary's for a little more fun and we concluded with a prayer for Camden's upcoming therapy. (See Becky's blog) Grandma and Richard are two people deserving of a little celebration so it was fun to celebrate them in a big way!
Stacy's birthday!
We stayed at Stacy and Danny's house for Stacy's birthday! Courtney was sweet enough to give up her bedroom and Sara hung out all night with Elsie. (There's no telling how much mischief she has learned from Sara!) Stacy always makes your babies look cute and we love talking kids with them!
Gamaches and Grins!
We recently rolled the kids over to meet the Gamaches after Terry dropped by with a homeade bib for Elsie! Lou and Terry did well with the squirmy and the sweet one! Wil liked exploring a new surrounding and munching on Terry's crackers!
Grandma brings over the fun!
Grandma Terry and Aunt Jenny brought Elsie and Wil's cousins over for a whole week! Eldest cousin Abbey and youngest cousin Joe were so much fun to play with! They let us get caught up on a little yard work-and they dug around a little themselves! Jenny, Grandma and Abbey all took turns cooking dinner every night. It was fun joking around and listening to Abbey's day every night! Abbey treated Elsie just like her baby doll and dressed her in pretty outfits every day! We had so much fun!

I finally have a niece!
Ramona Lynn Kimble was born on July 9th at 6:30 pm. She weighed 7lbs, 8oz and was born in a swimming pool during a home water birth before the midwife even got there! Thank goodness for much preparation on Bill and Becka's part and thank goodness for nurse Mona! Ramona is named for both Grandma's and both were present the day the crazy Kimble clan descended to meet the baby! Elsie was very excited to meet her and talked about it the whole way down! Becky got a cake for Katie's birthday and we all seranaded her beautifully! The cake said, "Happy Birthday Runt and Ramona!"

4th of July & Grandparents!
For the Fourth of July Tony, Michelle and Olivia had us over for dinner, sparklers, a tour of their new house and more fun! Michelle got Elsie talking and then no one could get a word in! Olvia is 3 and at that fun age of taking care of babies and loving on them. It was so cute to see her pretend Elsie was her baby doll! Our sparklers were sort of duds, but the guys still enjoyed showing them to the kids! Later on that week, Dad and Mom came over from Perry for a brief visit. Mom finished Elsie's turtle quilt (another masterpiece!) and added the bumper pads to the crib also. Perfect timing as Daddy had just put up the crib and we reclaimed our bedroom! Mom and Dad had to leave us early because...

A pit stop at the Aquarium
On the way home we stopped by the aquarium. It was July 3rd and the place was crawling with people! Here are a few of my favorite pictures. They aren't great, as I was practicing on a new camera!
Part 3 of Family Vacation
We wound down the vacation at my parents house by visiting with Aunt Laura (or as she preferred to be called:Aunt Grandma) and her son, my cousin Garrett. They were so hospitable and sweet to us. I haven't seen Garrett in years and I really enjoyed hanging out with him as an adult! After all, he is a Bicentennial baby! We talked about how special we are as BB's, talked about what we have been up to and talked a lot about babies! He has a 3 year old named Talli and a 1 year old named Caleb. We have a lot in common! We didn't do much but hang out on the porch, grill out and play with the kids. Wil experienced his first injury when he touched the hot grill lid. We had him play with the rubber duckies in cool tubs of water, applied copious amounts of aloe and Jason bandaged his hand like the pro he is! Wil's hand is healed and now he calls everything "hot!"
Famly Vacation part 2
On the way to North Carolina we stopped at Janet's house in Ohio for lunch with she and Ms. Madge. Janet served a delicious home cooked meal and we caught up on things. Wil made himself at home and had a good time while Elsie got passed around. We love going to see them!

Part 1 of our summer vacation
The last week of June through the first of July found us on vacation. For the past 3 years now we have seemed to end up in Washington DC, West Virgnia and North Carolina. On the way up to West Virginia we visited the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta and the Smithsonian museum of Natural History in DC. We had so much fun at those places and Wil loved both. We also took some awesome pictures before our camera was stolen! Needless to say we were pretty bummed after that! We did stop by the Aquarium again on our way back down. We broke down and got another camera just in time for our visit with Stanton. Stanton and Anita took us to historic Blennerhassett Island in Parkersburg. It was interesting and gorgeous and easy enough to do with kids and strolles! It is accessed by way of a paddle steam boat-that was fun too! We followed Canadian geese to the end of the island before heading back and then we looked up a few places from my childhood-my Great Grandparents' house (not there anymore) and the house where my Grandma Jane lived. My Dad's folks are from Parkersburg. We also stopped by Tim and Pam's new house and hung out at JW's BBQ for a while.
