He's Alive! 2012

He's Alive! He's Alive and I'm forgiven, Heaven's gates are opened wide! Time to celebrate and we made it back just in time to! We unloaded the car Saturday night, ate a quick dinner, showered, picked out church clothes and crashed! I got up before the sun came up with intentions of a personal sunrise service! I read the resurrection story in all 4 gospels noting the similarities and differences in each. By the time I was done, I felt like one of the Mary's and I laced up my shoes, took off into the cool morning air and dashed down the street! I ran about 3 miles and decided to be bold and tell anyone I passed that "He's Alive!" I only passed a couple who seemed confused by my shouts and one man who simply responded with "That's right!" The birds were singing, I was hoofing it and it was one of the best runs I can remember! In true Kimble form I donned a towel over my head and tried to pry Jason out of bead by impersonating Mary again. He simply told me I stunk and rolled over! I showered, got the towel and cameras ready and woke the kids up to tell them Jesus's body was gone and He is Risen! We walked down the hall and used our imagination as we peered into the sun filled bathroom to find the "empty tomb!" Then we followed the "Bunny trail" of jelly beans and even found some fluff from Peter's tail! The trail led to Easter baskets on the porch! We got all sugared up and primped up and joyfully headed to church! The service rocked as always with "Christ the Lord is Risen Today" and the "Hallelujah Corus." We took pictures with the kids at the empty tomb on stage and had a nice lunch on the porch. The Egg hunt was funny because Elsie was very competitive grabbing any egg she found. Wil was selective. Even if he found an egg, if it was pink or purple, he would tell Elsie about it! What a joyous and meaningful Easter!
